Unfortunately, there is unwarranted stigma around seeking mental health support in New Zealand. A lot of people hold off on asking for help as they don’t think their problems are big enough or they are afraid of what others will think.
You may feel a little off, feel the need to share something with someone impartial, feel stressed, feel anxious or depressed, or feel completely and utterly worn down and overwhelmed.
It can take a lot of courage to make the first step. At Resilience Psychology, we welcome all referrals and care for all individuals with the same high level of respect.
